What is CBG?

To date, more than 110 cannabinoids have been identified, all of which have special effects. Of these various chemical compounds, one cannabinoid appears to be more important than all others. This cannabinoid is cannabinol.

Cannabigerol or CBG is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid derived from cannabis. Its unique properties and health benefits deserve a lot of attention. It is an acidic cannabinoid found mainly in cannabis products. There is no psychoactive effect with this cannabinoid.

The CBG has shown in several studies that it has a number of health benefits for users. It is an analgesic, anticonvulsant, insomnia, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antidepressant. The researchers also concluded that it promotes bone growth, stimulates brain cells and is an appetite stimulant.

Our internal endocannabinoid systems are full of receptors that are ready to respond to CBG, helping to improve our immune response and relieve tension. CBG can also inhibit our natural gamma-aminobutyric acid uptake, which is responsible for our stress response. This results in a general feeling of calmness and well-being, which is manifested through a clearer mind and relaxed muscles.

At the right dose, CBG works as follows
  • Painkiller (relieves pain).
  • Antibacterial (slows down bacterial growth).
  • Anticonvulsant (reduces seizures).
  • Anti-inflammatory (reduces inflammation).
  • Insomnia (helps sleep).
  • Antidepressant (lifts mood).
  • Bone stimulator (promotes bone growth).
  • Brain cell stimulant (promotes neuronal growth).
  • Appetite stimulant (increases appetite).

The benefits offered by CBG are closely related to what it does in the human body.
